Comedy Central has posted a humorous look at the results of the West Virginia primary. Hosted by masterful funny man Jon Stewart, it takes a look at potentially some of the reasons Barack Obama lost West Virgina by such a large margin. The video is without a doubt extremely funny. But the sad part of this tale is that while humorous, it displays a couple of West Virginians who seem to be extremely biased in their thinking. While Obama’s campaign has tried to put itself above the racial issue, many people still cling to thinking reminiscent of the pre-civil rights era – basically if you look act or sound different from “me”, you must be trouble. I am still shocked when I see people like this. I’m even more shocked that they feel no shame in speaking this hatred in front of a television camera.

Here’s the video:

When are we going to mature as a people and accept everyone for who they are, not what they look like??

What is going on with CNN’s reporting these days?? John Edwards just endorses Barack Obama for President this evening and CNN runs the lead story in their politics section about Obama apologizing for calling a female reporter sweetie. They included the fact that he called her and apologized but I have to ask how is this news. Are they kidding?

Former Presidential candidate John Edwards backed Barack Obama for President this evening. Interesting timing coming right after the West Virgina love fest delivered to Hillary Clinton. Edwards, who dropped out of the race had been mum about his choice. This last weekend he subtly hinted that he may endorse soon. I guess the West Virgina stomp of Barack’s made the timing just right. Edwards announcement effectively dropped Hillary from the front pages and made Obama the front page story. Rumor has it that Hillary will continue to push on with her campaign to win John’s endorsement despite tonights news.
